Cycling

Just Ride a Bike!

It's really my answer to many problems. I often say "I need to get on a bike" if I need exercise or just a mental reset. There is something about traveling at the speed of a bike. It's not too slow and it's not too fast to really enjoy your surroundings.
Choosing the right bike:

Recumbent bikes offer a laid-back riding position that reduces strain on the back and neck. Great for long-distance rides, they provide enhanced comfort, aerodynamics, visibility, and ergonomic support without sacrificing performance.

Road bikes are designed for speed and efficiency on paved roads, road bikes are perfect for commuting, long-distance rides, and racing. Their lightweight frames and narrow tires make them ideal for smooth, fast travel with minimal effort.

Mountain bikes are built for rugged trails, dirt paths, and steep terrain, mountain bikes feature sturdy frames, wide tires, and suspension systems. They're ideal for adventurous riders seeking durability, control, and performance off the beaten path.

Fitness bikes are a hybrid between a road and mountain bike, fitness bikes are great for exercise, commuting, or casual rides. With an upright posture and lightweight design, they offer comfort, speed, and versatility on a variety of surfaces.

Cargo bikes are perfect for families or urban errands, cargo bikes are built to carry heavy loads with stability and ease. Whether hauling groceries, kids, or gear, they reduce car dependence and make everyday transport more eco-friendly and fun.

Lifelong Fitness

Cycling is a lifelong activity! Every day I see kids riding their bikes to school and I see seniors cycling for fun and fitness. The low impact exercise of cycling works the largest muscle groups in your body. The result is great exercise that you can easily customize for casual fun or a strenuous cardio workout.

There is no question that my fitness would suffer if I didn't ride a bike regularly. It's a big part of my weekly routine. It's difficult to think of cycling as a fitness routine because it's so fun. For me, it's a chance to get outside and ride around at the perfect speed to take in the neighborhood or a new route away from it all.
I'm convinced that if you found the right bike for you and your riding situation, you would get so much benefit from it. I primarily showcase recumbent bike rides, but also look for my mountain bike and road bike content also. I hope it will inspire and inform you on your next bike purchase - or to get you on a bike you already have.
